IAS Assessment

International Assessments for Schools more popularly known as IAS is a leading international educational assessment programme that provides an objective, in-depth, external assessment of student skills in key learning areas. IAS is not a competitive exam, it’s an age-appropriate diagnostic assessment benchmarked against global standards that reveals academic strengths and weaknesses of students through scientifically graded assessment questions, which demand application of basic to higher order thinking skills from students. The key skill areas assessed are Comprehension, Critical Thinking, Creativity and higher order thinking skills like Reasoning & Problem Solving.

Global Test Set Against Global Paradigms of Excellence

International Assessments for Schools (IAS) is a diagnostic assessment programme set against global paradigms of excellence. IAS is a skill based assessment that tests complexity of understanding of students and helps them learn by understanding. IAS provides a global platform for students to imbibe the universal learning paradigms to succeed.

Credibility, Capability & Quality

IAS tests are developed by EAA, an ISO certified internationally recognised educational assessment organization, specialising in large scale assessments for over 40 years. EAA develops IAS tests by employing most advanced psychometric technology coupled with innovative assessment task design and advanced cognitive models to obtain a richer, more intelligent and nuanced picture of what students know and can do than ever before.

Wide Acceptance and Scale of Comparison

Participation by over 2.4 million students from across Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, Pacific and the USA makes IAS one of the largest educational assessment programmes in the world today.

Diagnostic Report

IAS provides diagnostic report to students micro-analysing their skills, comparing their performance with others in the region and with their own performance in past years thus providing deep insight into their academic strengths, learning gaps and misconceptions. IAS also provides a detailed school diagnostic report permitting teachers to remediate students and make necessary adjustments in pedagogical practices in order to help students learn by understanding. Schools can use the IAS diagnostic report to validate and balance school assessments and define parameters of quality teaching and learning.

From year 2015, Computer Skills will be renamed to Digital Technologies, this will allow broader areas of computational thinking, creation of information systems, use and management of mobile and interactive technologies, impact of social media etc, to be included in the assessment.
