Yash Mehta, Director-School

Yash Mehta is on the Board of Macmillan and is responsible for driving the business in India and adjoining countries like Srilanka, Bhutan, Middle East, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc. Yash is acknowledged as an accomplished professional and transformational leader with knowledge, competency and skills transcending multiple sectors - banking, telecom, retail financial services, real estate, education and publishing.

Yash is a Management graduate with around two decades of experience, his expertise spans profit center management, general management & leadership roles in large scale Organizations at national & international level. Over the last one decade, he has established himself as a distinguished thought-leader and sector specialist in the domain of education management. Yash has been elected as Joint Secretary in The association of Publishers in India ( API ), the trade body of the Global Publishers in India.

Before joining Macmillan, Yash was with Educomp Infrastructure & School Management Limited, as Vice President- Schools and Retail. He has also worked with premier housing finance institutions HDFC Ltd and ICICI Bank Ltd early in his career.



Rajesh Pasari, Director

Rajesh Pasari is designated as Director – Finance & Operations & is on the Board of Macmillan. He is responsible for & leads all the business support functions including Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, Supply Chain & Logistics and Administration. Rajesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant & Cost Accountant & carries an overall 18 years of invaluable experience with large MNCs and Corporates like Marico, Seagram (now Pernod Ricard), Spencer’s & NetAmbit. Rajesh was instrumental in pioneering the Commercial function thereby building a strong hundred member team in Spencer’s Retail growth journey. He also had a successful stint in a Financial services start-up where he spearheaded two rounds of Private Equity funding as the CFO for them which led to his recognition by CFO India magazine placing him amongst the Top 100 CFOs of the country.



Paramjit Singh, Head – Sales (North)

Paramjit Singh Sales, Head North, with over 34 years of rich & extensive experience in publishing, has always excelled in challenging and difficult assignments. Paramjit started his career way back in 1982 and has worked in different companies and markets across India. His previous tenure was with OUP as Regional sales Director East & North 2. Paramjit is an astute professional who has experience of front line sales, managing teams and independent branches. He believes in leading from the front and is a good strategist who believes in placing right people for right job, challenging them to perform better. Paramjit has built a new efficient team in the North region in Macmillan.



Biju Thomas, Head - Sales (South & Middle East)

Biju Thomas, Sales Head- South, has played a pivotal role in establishing Macmillan in the South region, for over two decades. He is the face of Macmillan in Kerala and through consistent performance has established Macmillan’s supremacy there. He also initiated Macmillan’s ventures in international markets of Sri Lanka and Maldives in early 2000. Biju possesses in-depth knowledge of the market, and although his strength is sales, he is well versed with other support functions. He is uniquely gifted in leadership, and is an excellent motivator with grit and passion. He is resolute in maintaining a humanitarian touch in professionalism to achieve the desired results.



Mahesh Srivastav, Head Sales-East

Mahesh has almost 2 decades of experience in the education industry. His experience encompasses Business Development and P & L management in Jetking, Educomp Solution Ltd, Cengage Learning & McGraw-Hill Education across India. In Macmillan, Mahesh is responsible for sales in East India and neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan & Myanmar along with Professional Publishing.

He has done his masters in Labour law and Personnel Management from Lucknow University and his Strategy Management from University of Virginia Darden School of Business.



Harsh Pillai, Head – Sales (West and AP)

Harsh Pillai, Sales Head for West & AP has over 14 years of experience in areas of Sales, Marketing, and Project Management and P&L accountability. Harsh started his career with HUL in Mumbai and then headed Operations in MERU cabs. He also launched Pre paid operations for Aircel in Andhra Pradesh. Prior to Macmillan Harsh was with Piramal Healthcare where he headed the successful Project Vistaar. Harsh has brought market discipline and motivation to the West operations for Macmillan.



Vandana Juneja, Head – Marketing & New Initiatives

Vandana is responsible for marketing for all strands of Macmillan India. With a decade of invaluable teaching experience behind her, she has used insightful marketing to bring top of the mind recall to Macmillan products. Prior to her teaching stint, she worked for eight years in Product Marketing and Sales Management with Pertech Computers Ltd. She is also responsible for incubating new opportunities for Macmillan.



Shashikala Meenakumari, Head – Publishing

With over two decades of editorial experience in K-12 publishing, Shashi has an in depth understanding of pedagogy and the different curricula prevalent in India. Shashi has an M Phil degree in Education and a Master’s in Education and Human Rights, with specialization in Child Psychology and Pre-primary education. Before joining Macmillan, Shashi had a brief stint as Guest Lecturer, at the Post Graduate Department of Education, Bangalore University.



Harpreet Singh Bagga, Head of Supply Chain Operations

Harpreet Singh Bagga is responsible for Supply Chain Management, production planning and control, warehouse management and order to delivery process. Harpreet has 9+ years of experience in education with his earlier assignments at Educomp and StudyPlaces.com. His expertise in data driven management has resulted in increased productivity and customer satisfaction. Harpreet has also worked with Infosys, CSC& GlobalLogic in software and Business development.



Shreesh Garg, Financial Controller

Shreesh Garg joined Macmillan India in Nov 2016 as Financial Controller. With B Com.(H) from Delhi University and Chartered Accountancy in 2000, Shreesh comes with total experience of 16 years in areas of Accounting, tax, audits, compliances, corporate governance.

Shreesh was earlier with TNS India Pvt. Ltd, a global market research company under the WPP group (a UK MNC) where he was working in the capacity of Business Partner – Commercial & Finance. He has also worked for organisations like Ariba India Private limited, Terminix SiS India Pvt. Ltd, and Fidelio India.



Preeti Wadhavan, Head Legal & Compliance

Preeti Wadhavan heads legal & compliance in Macmillan. Preeti has 11 years of experience in corporate legal, compliance and corporate secretarial matters. In the past, she has worked with General Electric and XL Group in legal and compliance domains.



Manisha Nayar, Head - Human Resources

Manisha has over 10 years of extensive experience in telecom before joining Macmillan. She was associated with Bharti Airtel Limited into various roles spanning across Talent Management, Business Partnering, Organization Effectiveness, Learning and Development, Recruitment, Engagement, Performance Management & Employee Services. She brings in a blend of strategic capability building and operational management experience . She is a management graduate from University Business School, Panjab University.
